We have a small issue regarding the SACPA fall meeting this Saturday. The Ajo exit on i-19 will be closed.
For those coming from North Tucson, Phoenix, Pinal County and Marana:
You should be able to plug 14990 S Sasabe Road into your phone and it should take you to the ranch, but the verbal directions are as follows –
From Phoenix, you’ll want to take the 236 Exit for Marana. Turn right off the exit, then take the first right onto Marana. Take first left onto Sanders. Then left onto Avra Valley. Then right onto Sandario. (All of this stretch will be clear with GPS’d/phone directions.) Take Sandario all the way to Ajo Way, and make a right onto Ajo Way.
At Three Points Junction, turn left onto South Sasabe Road/Route 286, following signs for 286 and the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. (You’ll know you’re in Three Points by the gas station and convenience store on your left. If you reach the Altar Valley Middle School on Ajo Way, you’ve gone too far.)
Follow South Sasabe Road until you pass mile marker 38. Very shortly after the mile marker (you can begin to slow down after the mile marker), you will turn right into the King’s Anvil Ranch. Keep your eye out for the ranch sign – but if you wait until you see it to slow down, you will miss the turn.
For those coming from East of Tucson, South of Tucson and Santa Cruz County:
Instead of Ajo Exit on I-19, please take the Valencia Road Exit (Exit 95) west to meet up with Ajo Road (Highway 86). Again, you should be able to plug 14990 S Sasabe Road into your phone and it should take you to the ranch.
See you there!!!
